What’s the best thing about working at Children’s?

I love the energy that surrounds Children’s — it is for, about and because of kids. Everyone who works here has passion. We don’t just “fix” the child … we take care of them.

What do you like most about the work you do as a member of the Orthopedics team?

For so long I helped patients deal with their injuries on the football field without truly seeing the healing process from within. Now that I work in the Sports Medicine and Orthopedics clinics, I can see healing and teach my patients and their families through X-rays and in the operating room. What an incredible experience to show patients and their families what is actually going on! The Orthopedics team is the most thoughtful and careful group of practitioners and surgeons I have ever worked with.

What makes Children’s Orthopedics unique?

Their openness to new ideas and different ways of thinking. They love working with all providers, including physical therapists, orthotics specialists, nurses, medical assistants and orthocast technicians. The referrals come from all over the region — including our own specialists.

What made you want to come to Children’s?

I wanted to take the very best care of kids that I could. I knew that Children’s provided that to each and every one of their patients — each and every day. Being a Children’s doctor has been a dream of mine for a long time. It is an honor to be here.

What do people say when they find out you work here?

They just smile and say, “You are so lucky,” … and I agree with all of my heart.
